KIMBERLY-CLARK OFFERS HAZARD-GARD* LINE OF
CHEMICAL PROTECTIVE APPAREL
Ideal for Use In Manufacturing, Liquid or Dry Chemical Handling

ROSWELL, GA (September 24, 2001) — Kimberly-Clark's Safety Division offers a line of protective apparel called HAZARD-GARD®. The line, consisting of two products in a variety of styles and colors, provides effective resistance to many liquid and dry particulate chemicals.

HAZARD-GARD* I garments are laminated with a 1.3 mil exterior polyethylene film. The HAZARD-GARD* II’s exterior is laminated with SARANEX® 23-P film. The interiors of both garments, made with the REFLEX® coverall design, offer a comfortable cloth-like feel.

With the fuller cut in key stress areas, and a more forgiving fit, HAZARD-GARD* I and II offer enhanced mobility for greater range of motion. In addition, they offer strong protection and lower cost in use since they are less likely to rip.

HAZARD-GARD* I has been designed to be used in such applications as chemical manufacturing, chemical handling in general manufacturing and remediating hazardous materials. The garments, with serged seams, are available in gray as coveralls; in pants and as a shirt with elasticized face opening and hood.

Bound seamed HAZARD-GARD* I protective apparel includes non-elastic coveralls with storm flap; coveralls with elastic wrists/ankles with a hood and storm flap; a top and bottom sleeve protector and an apron.

HAZARD-GARD* II has been designed to be used in applications requiring greater protection from a broad range of liquid or dry chemicals. HAZARD-GARD* II is available with bound or taped seams in a variety of coverall and accessory formats. HAZARD-GARD* II is also available in an encapsulated suit with elastic wrists, an expanded back, back zipper, storm flap, booties, boot flaps and Mylar face shield.
