LAUNCHES KLEENGUARD® EXTRA COVERALLS
New Coveralls Offer Superior Durability & Particle Barrier Protection
Without Sacrificing Comfort

ALPHARETTA, Ga. (September 24, 2001) — Kimberly-Clark’s Safety Division introduces a new addition to its popular KLEENGUARD® Coverall line. New KLEENGUARD® Extra Coveralls are 25 times more breathable than garments made with new TYVEK® fabric. In addition, they provide particle barrier equal to new TYVEK®, for particles down to 2.0 micrometers in size. Moreover, the new garments’ durability far exceeds that of other breathable garments.

"KLEENGUARD® Extra dispels the myth that comfort and protection are mutually exclusive," says Dennis Riffer, general manager, Kimberly-Clark Safety Division. "In addition, we’re providing the level of garment durability needed in the market for spunbond-meltblown-spunbond (SMS) garments."

KLEENGUARD® Extra Coveralls are ideal for use in a variety of environments, including: mold remediation, maintenance and general clean-up operations, working with oil and grease, manufacturing and assembly operations, asbestos and lead abatement, food processing, laboratories, electronics, aerospace, printing, and dusty environments where users need protection from fine particles.

KLEENGUARD® Extra Coveralls are available in white, in hooded and non-hooded versions. All KLEENGUARD® Extra Coveralls feature a zipper front with elastic back, wrists and ankles. Sizes from medium to 4XL are available.
As with all Kimberly-Clark Protective Apparel, KLEENGUARD® Extra Coveralls are made using the company’s patented REFLEX® Coverall Design, which provides a better fit and fewer rip-outs than coveralls designed to the ANSI minimum.
